Jam Comeback Falls Short 94-91
December 13, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Jacksonville Slam News Release
As they have done all year, the Jacksonville JAM (9-3) always plays with heart and desire. Last night was no different, despite playing their fourth game in five days. The JAM came out sluggish and were down 53-30 at the half and the wear and tear of the last four days showed. However, this is a team that will not quit and insisted on fighting until the end. The JAM fought back throughout the second half and went up by one, 91-90, with just under a minute remaining for their first lead of the game. But it was not to be tonight as a JAM offensive foul and turnover sealed a victory for the host Miami Tropics (7-3), 94-91.
Donald Harris led the JAM with 22 points, with Trey Moore adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. Karel Rosario led Miami scorers with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
JAM NOTES:
Derrick Williams (foot injury) is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks.
DeRon Rutledge sat out last night's game with an ankle injury.
Next up is Division rival Orlando on Friday night in Orlando.
