Jacksonville Jam Ends Relationship with Premier Basketball League

February 6, 2008 - Premier Basketball League (PBL)
Jacksonville Slam News Release

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., February 5, 2008 - The Jacksonville Jam announced today they have discontinued its relationship with the Premier Basketball League and are suspending team operations while it considers its future direction.

"It is with great regret that we make today's announcement," said Felix Krupczynski, Jacksonville Jam Co-Owner and General Manager. "It gives our organization no pleasure whatsoever to reach this juncture after working so hard to establish our unique product for the fans of Jacksonville."

The Jacksonville Jam, LLC reviewed its current alternatives before making this decision after stalled negotiations left the team with little alternatives. Krupczynski said the team had been in negotiations with the PBL and in good faith started the season as a member of the league. He says the decision to suspend operations had to be made due to the lack of adequate support from the league required to sustain viability.
