Jam win 121-82

December 16, 2007 - Premier Basketball League (PBL)
Jacksonville Slam News Release

The Jacksonville JAM tipped off on Saturday afternoon in a exhibition game versus the Birmingham Wolf Pack, a touring pro team scheduled to play a series of exhibitions against a number of different PBL teams. Birmingham held strong throughout the first quarter, keeping it close at first, but the JAM started pulling away in the second quarter to open a 30 point lead at the half. From there, the JAM cruised through the second half for a 121-82 final score.

The game marked what could be the final chance for a few of the players in camp, with a number of cuts anticipated to trim down the roster as we head into the next week. But some of the new JAM stars as well as hopefuls stepped up for the game. Terrence Woods, a two time former NCAA 3-point shooting champion, shot 9 out of 11 from beyond the arc to lead all scorers with 30 points on the night. There were three additional Jam players in double figures with a clutch performance by Robert Cox who added 19 points of his own, Travis Degroot chipping in with 15 and Antonio Lawrence adding 12. Local hopeful, Barry Jordan, also added 8 points while pulling down 15 rebounds. The JAM will continue training camp until breaking for the holidays on Dec 20.
