Jacksonville Jam to play pre-season exhibition game

Jacksonville, Fla., December 5, 2007- The Jacksonville JAM, our city's professional basketball team, has scheduled to play a special pre-season exhibition game against Team FSA (Filipino Sports Association) this Sunday, December 9, 2007, at 3 p.m. The game will be held at Edward Waters College.
Admission is just $1 and all proceeds will go to the EWC Athletics program. Team FSA is a Filipino All-Star Team that is the 3-time defending national champion of the PIBNA (Philippine Inter-city Basketball of North America).
The Jacksonville JAM's regular season begins on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the University of North Florida Arena against the Rochester Razorsharks. The team begins its second season playing as a member of the Premier Basketball League (PBL) led by Mike Gillespie, former FAMU head coach.
Besides watching the excitement and intensity of the basketball game, JAM fans can also participate in interactive activities. The Idol JAM Session allows fans to audition to sing the National Anthem and/or God Bless America at the following home game. Also, fans can enter to win cash and prizes among the various promotions each and every game! Make sure you come early as a select group of fans get to participate in The Fan Shoot Around, where they get to practice with players prior to tip off.
