Jaguars continue search for talent on and off the court

August 17, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
New Jersey SkyCats News Release

Mahwah, NJ. ABA New Jersey Jaguars Owner/President Ron Eford announced that the team will hold a free-agent tryout camp on Sat, Aug 28th and Sun, Aug 29th at the Edgewater Recreation Center, 1167 River Road in Edgewater, NJ. Each session will begin at 9AM.

According to Eford, "The response to our previous camps has been overwhelming; so much so that we have to take a look at the abundance of talent that is available. Our reputation as being very fair and offering each player every opportunity to showcase their talent during our tryouts has spread very rapidly."

The cost is $150 (payable by post office money order or cashier's check), and enrollment is limited to the first 35 applicants. Payment must be received by Aug 20th. Contracts will be offered to those players selected at the completion of the two-day camp.

The team is also seeking interested individuals to fill front-office and game-day operations positions with the team. "In addition to players, the Jaguars are also looking for strong off-the-court talent as well to manage our behind-the-scenes operations," said Director of Game Operations Adam Colaizzi. "A successful season on the court starts long before the opening tip of the season. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for sports and entertainment. Regardless of your experience, we want to give our staff the chance to achieve their dream of working in professional sports, just as we are aiming to give our players the opportunity to make the leap to the NBA." Resumes shold be forwarded to: "Attn: Jaguars Staff Position at info@jerseyjaguars.com.
