Tycoons sign four state players

Ft. Worth, TX. ABA Ft. Worth Tycoons GM & Head Coach Steve Tucker today announced the signing of four more players with DFW Metroplex ties to the professional basketball team that begins play in November. According to Tucker, "I'm elated with these players. We've found that there is a lot of basketball talent in the Metroplex area. These men earned the right to come to Veteran's Camp to compete for a spot on the active roster. I hope this shows everyone that these camps are a legitimate opportunity to make our team for the upcoming season." The players are:

Donald Harris, 6'5"- 210 - Guard - University of Texas at Arlington. Originally from Everman, TX, Harris was an All-State performer for Coach James Duncan at Everman High School. He want on to play for Coach Eddie McCarter at UTA, where he earned Southland Conference All-Conference Honors and was the Southland Conference Tournament MVP his senior season. He has played professionally in Australia, South America and in the US.

Michael Thomas, 6'8" - 240 - Forward - Baylor University/Ranger Junior College Michael is a native of Grand Prairie TX. He played at Grand Prairie High School for Coach Barry Davis. Thomas went on to play collegiatly at Ranger Junior College and later walked on for the varsity at Baylor University. A late bloomer, he has developed dramatically as a player and has played professionally in Canada and South America.

Curtis "Mack" Callier - 6'7" - 230 - Forward - University of Texas at Arlington. Callier played high school ball at Tyler High School in Tyler, TX where he had an outstanding prep career. He starred for Coach Eddie McCarter's UTA teams collegiately where he was Southland All-Conference twice. Mack played pro in Israel last season where he averaged 22 points, 17 rebounds a game and was a First Team, All-League Performer.

Jabari Johnson - 6'2" 200 Guard - University of Texas at Arlington. Jabari starred at Dallas Carter High School for Coach Rob Wright where he was All-District, All-Conference, All-State and was named to both the Addias and McDonalds All American teams during his high school career. He want to UTA in Arlington and was named team MVP and was a Southland All-Conference performner during his four years there.
