Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (April 14)- It would seem difficult for Brett Jaeger to top his stellar 42 save performance in Game Two in the Southern Conference Finals, but in Game Three Jaeger became a marvel posting a shutout on the Jackalopes as the Brahmas won 3-0 in Odessa.

The Brahmas went off to an early start when forward Jason Deitsch put Texas on the boards in the first period beating Odessa's emergency goaltender Jeremy Symington just :24 seconds into the game. Brandon Benedict followed up the goal with over a minute remaining in the first to give the Brahmas the 2-0 lead going into the first intermission. Following a two goal effort in the first, the middle frame went scoreless with Jaeger stopping 12 Odessa shots. In the third, Pete Rouleau scored his third goal of the postseason on a breakaway to put away the Jackalopes. The Brahmas were able to go 6 for 6 on the penalty kill and Jaeger stopped all 33 shots for the night.

Thursday night the Brahmas will battle the Jackalopes once again at 7:05 PM to play Game Four of the Southern Conference Finals. Fans can watch all the action at ZuRoma Bar and Grill at the NYTEX Sports Centre beginning at 6 PM. Game Five is set for Saturday evening at the NYTEX Sports Centre at 7:05 PM.
