Jacksonville Signs Quarterback Jake Medlock

JACKSONVILLE- The Jacksonville Sharks announced today quarterback Jake Medlock has signed with the Sharks for his fifth season of professional football and third year of arena football.

Medlock (6'3", 185) played quarterback for the Cedar Rapids Titans (2018) of the Indoor Football league, where he threw 2,616 yards, 47 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He rushed for 168 yards and 12 touchdowns. Medlock signed with the Wichita Force (2017) of the Championship Indoor Football league, where he played 12 games and threw 2,052 yards, 43 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Medlock rushed for 191 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. Dresden Monarchs (2015) of the German Football league, where he played in nine games and threw for 1,597 yards, 20 touchdowns and three interceptions. He rushed for 251 yards and scored eight touchdowns. Following the 2015 season, Medlock spent time in training camp with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.

Medlock attended Florida International University (2010-2013) where he played as quarterback and punter. He started in 22 games over three seasons throwing for 3,425 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He transferred to Valdosta State University (2014) where he played 13 games and threw 2,024 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions. He rushed for 619 yards and seven touchdowns.

Medlock is a native of Jacksonville Beach, FL where he played quarterback at Fletcher High School.
