
Jacksonville Re-Signs Defensive Back Rush Imhotep

JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks announced today that they have re-signed defensive back Rush Imhotep for his third season of arena football and second with the Jacksonville Sharks.
Last season, he played in nine games for the Sharks recording 19 tackles and one pass breakup. Imhotep spent his rookie season with the Corpus Christi Rage of the National Arena League where he played in four games for the Rage.
Imhotep attended Cornell University where he played in 42 games for the Big Red creating a career total of 171 tackles, four for a loss, 15 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and three interceptions. Imhotep was also a team captain at Cornell during his last two years (2014-2015).
Imhotep is a native of Brooklyn, NY and played for Poly Prep Country Day School. Imhotep is a cousin to six-time NFL Pro Bowler and Super Champion Jerome Bettis.
