
Jacksonville Acquires All-IFL Wide Receiver Marquel Wade

JACKSONVILLE - The 2019 National Arena League Champion Jacksonville Sharks have announced that they have signed First Team All-IFL wide receiver / kick returner Marquel Wade, this will be Wade's fifth season in arena football and second season with the Sharks.
Marquel Wade (5'11, 170) spent the last two seasons with the Cedar Rapids River Kings of the Indoor Football League (2018-2019) where he recorded 54 receptions and eight touchdowns. In 2017, the Sharks signed Wade after an open tryout, Wade's time in Jacksonville was short he played in three games, recording three catches for 49 yards and two touchdowns before getting re-signed by the Nebraska Danger of the IFL to finish the 2017 season. Wade spent his rookie year with the Nebraska Danger where he played in 11 games and recorded 309 receiving yards for four touchdowns.
During his college career, Wade played for the University of Arkansas and made the All-SEC Freshman Team. A native of Jacksonville, FL, he attended Andrew Jackson High School. During his senior year, he had 53 receptions for 796 yards for nine touchdowns. Wade also played varsity basketball at Andrew Jackson.
