Utah Flash News Release

OREM, Utah, April 7, 2008- Luke Jackson hit a 20-foot fade away jumper at the buzzer to give the Idaho Stampede their first overtime victory of the season with a 119-117 defeat of the Utah Flash in NBA Development League action Monday night at the Mckay Events Center.

With the score tied 117-117, the Flash were poised to have the winning shot attempt with 2.3 seconds remaining, but a Utah turnover gave Idaho the last attempt. Jackson, who finished with 16 points off the Idaho bench, caught the ball with 1.3 seconds remaining, turned and rose over Flash defender Morris Almond to knock down the bucket.

"That is exactly what we said to our guys coming out." Flash coach Brad Jones said. "We told them if they were going to beat us they were going to have to hit some fall away shot over us, and guess what, they did."

The Stampede improved to 34-14 on the season and increased their West Division lead over the Los Angeles Defenders to 1.5 games. Utah, whose season long three-game winning streak was snapped in the loss, returns home to host the Iowa Energy on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Flash led 107-104 with time winding down in regulation play when Idaho's Mike Taylor hit a deep three-point shot to tie the game and send it to overtime.

"I am disappointed for our guys because I thought we really played hard tonight, but it just didn't work out for us." Jones added.

Six Idaho players scored in double-digits in the winning effort. Randy Livingston had a double-double with a game high 36 points and 10 assists, while Brent Petway added 11 points. Taylor contributed 20 points from the Stampede bench, while Roberto Bergersen and Cory Violette each recorded 16 points.

Utah Jazz assignee Almond led all Flash scorers with 31 points, while Brian Jackson added 20 points. Brian Hamilton had 14 points, while James Lang and Andre Ingram chipped in 12 and 13 points respectively.

Kevin Kruger, who is averaging over 20 points in his last six contests, recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists.
