Pensacola Pelicans News Release
Erick Mejias' slow roller down the first base line was mishandled by Pensacola's Matt Tindell allowing Tyson Boston to score from second to give Jackson a 10-inning, 6-5 win over the Pelicans. The loss drops Pensacola into a tie for first with Shreveport in the East Division. The Senators, which took three of four in this series, had led 4-2 in the top of the eighth until the Pelicans scored three in the frame to take a 5-4 advantage. The game was sent to extra innings when Gerard McCall singled home Selwyn Langaigne, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI, to even the game at 5-5. Fontella Jones pitched the 10th to earn his first win of the season, while Gerardo Casadiego was tagged with the loss.
