Harris Gets Seventh Win

Edinburg's Ryan Harris became the Central League's first seven game winner on Monday as the Edinburg Roadrunners took their third ball game in four tries against their division rival Coastal Bend with a 9-4 victory Monday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.

Harris (7-0) despite allowing two homers pitched very well for Edinburg, scattering seven hits during his 6.2 innings and striking out eight. Steve Wilkerson pitched 1.1 innings to pick up his fifth save of the year.

Bats were hot again for Edinburg as the Ryans continued their hitting streaks. Centerfielder Ryan Webb increased his streak to 17 games and Lehr increased his streak to 16 games with a 25 game on base streak still in tact. Eric Gonzalez took over the league lead in doubles with his 16th two-bagger oof the year.

Lavelle Morgan took the loss for the Aviators allowing seven hits and seven earned runs in his 5.1 innings on the hill. Morgan (2-4) struck out three and walked one in his second start against Edinburg this season.

The Roadrunners will take Tuesday off before starting a four game series with the Jackson Senators to close out the first half. Starter for the Edinburg Roadrunners for Wednesday's game is to be announced.
