
Jackson Leads Stampede Past Legends

BOISE, ID, (Feb. 4, 2014) - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), put up a strong offensive fight but could not hold back the hot shooting of Idaho's Pierre Jackson, falling to the Stampede 122-136.
The Stampede got off to a hot start and never looked back. While the score stayed close, the Stampede remained in control for four quarters. Ricky Ledo powered out 17 points in the fourth for a 19-7 run to bring the Legends within nine with just over a minute to play. Jackson answered quickly for the Stampede with a 7-0 run of his own to finish out the game. The Legends shot over 51% and outrebounded Idaho 47-38 but Jackson and Kevin Murphy combined for 97 points off 56 shots to lead the Stampede to victory.
PJ Hairston led the Legends in scoring with 25 points, while Ledo followed closely with 24, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Jackson had a game-high 58 points with 27 in the final 12 minutes of play.
