
Jacks to Hold Tryouts for PA, Mascot

Bangor, ME- The Bangor Lumberjacks will be having an open tryout for their Public Address Announcer, Mascot, and National Anthem singers for the upcoming 2003 season, the Northeast League club announced today.
Tryouts will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 12-4 PM, but you must call the Lumberjacks office at 207-947-1900 ahead of the date to schedule a time. The tryouts will be in the JC Penney court of the Bangor Mall, by the Lumberjacks offices.
The Jacks are looking for enthusiastic people to help Bangor cheer on their new team this summer, including someone to play the Lumberjacks mascot: Jack Timber.
The Lumberjacks open the 2003 campaign on the road against the Allentown (PA) Ambassadors on Thursday, May 22, but return to Bangor for the home opener on Friday, May 30 at 7 PM against the New Jersey Jackals at Mahaney Diamond.
