Jacks Face Off Against Hunger

ODESSA, TX - In celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, Odessa Jackalopes players dropped off a team donation of nearly three hundred pounds of seasonal food items to the West Texas Food Bank in Odessa on Monday afternoon. Through the years, the Jackalopes franchise has enjoyed teaming up on numerous occasions with the West Texas Food Bank to help make the holiday season more enjoyable for everyone in the Permian Basin.

A dozen Jackalopes players were on hand at the West Texas Food Bank to offload items and pose for pictures with West Texas Food Bank Executive Director Augie Fernandes. If you would like to make a holiday donation to the West Texas Food Bank, please visit them today at 1008 East 2nd Street in Odessa or give them a call at 432-580-6333.

In addition to their Monday donation to the Food Bank, the Jackalopes will also provide four area families in need with a full Thanksgiving feast. The Jacks will be distributing those meals on Monday and Tuesday evening.

The Odessa Jackalopes celebrate their 15th Anniversary in 2011-12 and drop the puck on their inaugural campaign as a member of the North American Hockey League.
