Jacks Alum Josh Obregon Named ECAC Northeast Top Player

ODESSA, TX - The Odessa Jackalopes, members of the North American Hockey League, are proud to announce that Jackalopes alum Josh Obregon has been named ECAC Northeast Player of the Year. Obregon leads all conference in scoring with 32 points (17 goals and 15 assists) in just his sophomore season at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. Obregon and his Johnson and Wales Wildcats made it all the way to the ECAC Northeast semifinals before being blanked 4-0 by Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA).

Obregon played for the Jacks during the 2011-12 season where he put up 15 goals and 12 assists in 39 games with the Jackalopes after being traded from Corpus Christi on November 21, 2011. Obregon also represented the South division in the 2012 NAHL Top Prospects tournament in Troy, MI where he had a goal and an assist in three games.

In 2013-14, the Odessa Jackalopes will embark upon their third season in the North American Hockey League and 17th in the Permian Basin. Single game tickets are on sale now!
