Minot Minotauros News Release
Minot, ND - The Minotauros are looking to avenge last weekend's losses to the Austin Bruins with a strong showing on home ice. The Tauros split with the Bruins on their last trip to the Maysa back in September. The Tauros have been one of the streakiest teams in the league, and with the final playoff spot on the line have been running cold. With just a four point lead on the Brookings Blizzard entering the final month of the season the Tauros hope to get hot again for the stretch run.
One bright spot from last weekend for the Minotauros was the breakout performance by trade-deadline acquisition Michael Louria. Louria netted two goals and an assist against the Bruins and has five points in as many games for the Tauros since join the squad. Scott Dornbrock lead the Tauros with four points over the first six meetings with Austin on a goal and three assists. Merrick Madsen won his first start as a Tauro against the Bruins.
Josh Bretner leads the Bruins against the Tauros with a goal and six assists in the first six meetings. Jay Dickman is second in the NAHL in scoring with 54 points, six of which have come against the Tauros. The Bruins second leading scorer, Guillaume Leclerc has three goals against the Tauros two of which are game winners. In net Nick Lehr has owned the crease playing all but four games for the Bruins. He has done so with good reason posting a 1.89 GAA and .931 SV%.
Tickets are available for both games, with puck drops on Friday and Saturday night at 7:35 p.m.
