August 19, 2009 - Northern League (NL)
Joliet JackHammers News Release
JOLIET-Starting tonight, the Joliet JackHammers will be selling tickets for a raffle of Adam Klein's 1991 Chevy Cavalier. The new promotion entitled "Kash for Klein's Klunker" is sponsored by Darcy Hundai Volkswagen and will take place on Saturday, August 29 when the JackHammers take on the Kansas City T-Bones at 7:05 p.m. For just $5.00, fans get a voucher for that evening's game as well as a raffle ticket for a key to start Klein's car. The lucky fan that starts the car will drive away with the automobile! All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Kars-4-Kids. The JackHammers finish their 9-game home stand tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the Gary SouthShore RailCats at Silver Cross Field.
"This car has been really reliable," said Klein. "It runs well and being from California, I'm unable to drive it home after the season. I am glad to donate it to a good cause."
The JackHammers will be selling raffle tickets through Saturday, August 29. 100 keys in total will be given through the raffle. The JackHammers will also be selecting nine random fans to receive keys on the 29th, so be sure to get your tickets for that evening's game!
The JackHammers next home stand begins on Friday, August 28 against the Kansas City T-Bones at 7:05 p.m. For tickets, or for more information, please contact the JackHammers TODAY at 815.726.2255 (BALL), visit their website www.jackhammerbaseball.com or stop by the Silver Cross Field Box Office during normal business hours.
