JackHammers Add RHP To Help Bullpen

CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA-The Joliet JackHammers have signed RHP Eddie Romprey to help bolster the club's bullpen. For the time being, he will take the place of JackHammers RHP Tommy Boss, who was placed on the Disabled List retroactive to May 30 with a strained pectoral muscle.
Romprey spent the 2005 season with the Schaumburg Flyers as a position player. He hit .194 in 11 games with the Flyers. Romprey played in 19 games with the Flyers in 2004, hitting .255 with one home run and six RBI's. Romprey is originally a 38th round pick of the Detroit Tigers in the June 2002 draft. He reached as high as AA Erie before making the move to Schaumburg in 2004.
