New Jersey Jackals News Release
The Jackals defeated the Cuban National Team 11-6 on Saturday night. Matt Vogel started the game and gave up 4 runs over 6 innings and recorded the win.
The Cuban team took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning but New Jersey scored 5 over the next two frames to take the lead they would not relinquish.
Cuba could only score four more runs over the last eight innings, while New Jersey scored at least one run in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Gregg Veneklasen hit a two RBI triple in the second inning and Conrad Gregor belted a solo home run and picked up another RBI single to power the Jackals offense.
This three game international set will conclude Sunday afternoon at Yogi Berra Stadium at 2 P.M.
