Jackals Come From Behind to Beat Allentown 7-2

Little Falls, NJ - The New Jersey Jackals continued their winning ways against the Allentown Ambassadors with a 7-2 win Monday night at Yogi Berra Stadium. New Jersey has taken all five games in the second half against Allentown and 12 out of 13 overall.

Down 2-1, New Jersey came back with five runs in the seventh inning to take the lead from Allentown. Billy Brown tied the game with an RBI single, Billy Rich gave the Jackals the lead with an RBI single and Dave Kennedy blasted a three run homerun, his 6th of the year, to left field, helping the Jackals take a 6-2 lead.

With the victory, Mike Bertotti (12-4) tied Joel Bennett with a league-high 12 wins. He pitched his third complete game of the season, giving up two runs, one earned, on eight hits while walking six and striking out nine. Bertotti has won seven straight games.

Offensively for New Jersey, Chas Terni stretched his hitting streak to 13 games, going 2-4. Mikaela Dworken increased the Jackals lead to five runs with a solo homerun, his 10th of the year, in the 8th inning. Craig Conway finished the evening 3-3 with a run scored, a double and a walk.
