
It's time to 'Meet the Kernels' on April 3rd

The Cedar Rapids Kernels will hold their annual 'Meet the Kernels' night on Tuesday, April 3rd starting at 5:00 pm.
A ballpark-style all you can eat and drink package is included in the $10 ticket price. Children 12 and under can get in for just $5.
The evening will feature a scrimmage between the Kernels and Kirkwood Community College. The game starts at 5:30 pm and will continue until 7 pm. Kernels' manager Ever Magallanes will introduce the team and talk briefly about the upcoming season.
The 2007 Kernels will mix and mingle with fans on the concourse after the program until 8 pm, which is when the all you can eat food and beverage ends.
The party then moves to the Miller Mezzanine as local musician Jeff Bruner will be on hand to entertain fans from 8 until 11 pm. A cash bar will be available.
Meet the Players Night tickets are available through the Kernels Ticket Office and Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop. Hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. Credit card orders can be placed by calling (319) 896-7560 during the above hours.
The Kernels open the 2007 season on the road at Beloit on April 5th. The home opener is Wednesday, April 11th at noon, sponsored by KCRG TV-9, and The Gazette. The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a free mini-bat, courtesy of Collins Community Credit Union. 2007 magnet schedules, courtesy of MercyCare Community Physicians, will also be passed out through the entire homestand (April 11-16).
