Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL will commence their third season down the Jersey Shore and the defense of their Kelly Cup Championship when they open training camp on Saturday, October 4 at Flyers SkateZone in Atlantic City.

In preparation for the 2003-04 season and home opener on October 17 vs. Texas, the Bullies will play three exhibition games during training camp. The first pre-season contest takes place on Tuesday, October 7 as the Bullies travel to Lawrenceville, NJ to meet their Garden State rival, the Trenton Titans. Game time is 7:30PM at Louck's Ice Center on the campus of Lawrenceville Prep School. Friday, October 10, the Bullies will travel to Reading to face-off against the Royals at the Sovereign Center at 7:05PM. The Bullies will host their lone pre-season game on Sunday, October 12, versus Reading at the Red Bank Armory in Red Bank, NJ. Game time is 2:05PM.

The Bullies training camp schedule through October 12 is listed below. All practices will be at Flyers SkateZone with the exception of Saturday, October 11, which will be held at Boardwalk Hall at 11:30AM. In conjunction, the Bullies organization will be hosting their first ever "Pick-A-Seat Party" that day at Boardwalk Hall from 11AM-5PM inviting fans to come watch practice and select season tickets right in the arena.

All practices during training camp are open to the public and the media. Flyers SkateZone is located at 501 North Albany Avenue in Atlantic City near Sandcastle Stadium. The Bullies are also tentatively scheduling their first media luncheon of the season on Wednesday, October 15, and would like to invite the media to come out and meet the players and coaching staff. Details of the event will be released in the near future.

The defending ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Boardwalk Bullies open Season Three against the Texas Wildcatters on Friday, October 17, at Boardwalk Hall.
