Saskatoon, SK -With the playoff picture tightening, the Saskatchewan Rush (6-9) host the Halifax Thunderbirds (7-8) for the first time in franchise history at SaskTel Centre on Saturday (Apr.15).
Saskatchewan is coming off a 13-9 loss against the Georgia swarm on the road, where Robert Church had four goals and four assists. Halifax lost 17-7 against that same Georgia Swarm squad on April 2nd.
The Rush are led by Church with 43 goals and 89 points this season. Halifax is getting the bulk of their production from offseason acquisition Randy Staats who has 26 goals and 73 points.
Between the pipes, Rush netminder Alex Buque has posted a .768 save percentage and 11.11 goals against average this season. Warren Hill has played the majority of minutes for the T-Birds, posting a .769 save percentage and 11.45 goals against average.
Saturday night's game will take place on Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre with a 7:30 p.m. CST faceoff. The game will be streamed live on TSN+ and ESPN+ with Cody Janzen, John Fraser and Sabeen Ahmad on the call. You can also listen to the game by downloading the Rush App. The Rush Radio Network pregame show with Cody Janzen will start at 7:20 p.m.
