
Isotopes Win 7-3 over Colorado Rockies in Exhibition Contest

In front of 12,222 fans, the Albuquerque Isotopes defeated their Major League affiliate, Colorado Rockies 7-3 in an exhibition game at Isotopes Park.
Dom Nunez led the way for the Isotopes at the plate going 3-for-3 with three RBI and was a triple shy of the cycle. The catcher doubled in his first at bat in the third inning before hitting an RBI single in the fourth. Nunez finished the day with a two-run homer in the sixth.
Starting pitcher Peter Lambert earned the win as he limited Colorado to four hits and two runs while striking out seven in 5.0 innings. The right-hander did not allow a hit through the first 3.1 innings until Nolan Arenado homered to left to end the no-hit bid. Ryan McMahon followed with a solo shot to right two batters later.
All three of Colorado's runs in the contest came via the long ball. Vince Fernandez accounted for the Rockies final run in the sixth inning with a solo shot to right.
