Islanders Acquire D Tucker from Titan

The Charlottetown Islanders have acquired defenseman Jack Tucker from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in exchange for a 2021 fifth round pick.

Born in Odessa, Florida, Tucker split last season between the Titan and the Moncton Wildcats. In 60 games last year, the 6'2 defender recorded two goals and 18 points.

He entered the league with the Wildcats ahead of the 2017-2018 season as a free agent. In 113 career QMJHL games, Tucker has recorded four goals and 24 points.

"Our acquisition of Jack Tucker adds to our depth & experience on the blueline," said Islanders head coach and general manager Jim Hulton on his newest player. "A right-handed defenseman with over 100 games in our league, he provides versatility and mobility to our group."

Tucker comes from a hockey family. His father, John, enjoyed a 12-year NHL career, playing over 650 games between the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals, New York Islanders, and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Tucker will join his teammates at the Charlottetown Islanders 2019 Training Camp, with the first on-ice sessions taking place Saturday, August 17th. Click HERE for all the details!
