Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Allentown, Pa.) - Warm Boar's Head pastrami on a Kaiser roll, topped with white American cheese, French fries and creamy coleslaw comprise the new signature "All-Star Sandwich" at Coca-Cola Park in 2010. In addition, the IronPigs newly expanded food and beverage lineup features grilled pineapple skewers with cinnamon sugar, apple-filled bread sticks, mozzarella sticks, pretzel burgers and local favorite, water ice. The menu still includes traditional ballpark fare, local favorites and a plethora of options for the diet-conscious on the Capital BlueCross Healthy Family Fun Menu.
There are also several new concessions locations at Coca-Cola Park, including an ice cream stand in the AT&T Plaza.
"What could be better than enjoying an All-Star Sandwich during an All-Star Season in the All-Star Valley?" remarked IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes. "We are excited about the variety of both old and new concessions options available this season. We can't expect our fans to go hog wild without the opportunity to pig out!"
Along with a revamped food menu and an ice cream stand, supplementary locations have been added for the Philly Pretzel Company and "Aw Shucks" Roasted Corn on the ballpark's third-base side due to the popularity of their initial locations near the AT&T Plaza. Other returning venues include the Jaindl Smoke House, a popular addition for the 2009 season, and the "Nuts For You" stand behind home plate that has been a staple of IronPigs baseball since Coca-Cola Park's debut.
Along with the new items, many popular specialty foods return that were introduced last season -- including Philly Fries (which consist of a large serving of fries and all of the ingredients of a cheese steak!), classic Coke and root beer floats, oven-toasted sandwiches, Pennsylvania-style pierogies and corn dogs. Ballpark favorites such as the Boss Hog Dog (the largest hot dog at Coca-Cola Park), the Nacho Porker (a hearty portion of nachos heaped with shredded pork) and The Big Porker (the largest BBQ pork sandwich allowed by law) also return in 2010.
Of course, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tender baskets, French fries, popcorn (now available in a limited-edition All-Star collector's helmet cup), peanuts and other popular ballpark food are still available and many other meal options are offered, including pizza slices, cheese steaks, half-pound hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and Italian sausages. Coca-Cola Park's Hot Dog stand has been revamped to include additional toppings like coleslaw, Vidalia onions, homemade chili and sauerkraut.
Fans in quest of a healthier meal alternative can choose from the newly expanded Capital BlueCross Healthy Family Fun Menu that includes a variety of options including oven-toasted sandwiches, grilled chicken sandwiches, fresh whole fruit, granola bars, bottled water and 2% milk.
There are numerous fixed concessions stands at Coca-Cola Park, each with their own signature items and specialties, including the Blast Furnace Grill (located in the AT&T Plaza), the Home Plate Grill (located on the first base side of the field level concourse), The Lunch Pail (located on the third base side of the field level concourse) and Hog Heaven (located on the Club Level). Coca-Cola Park also boasts two-dozen other portable locations, bringing the total point-of-sale locations to 60 on game days.
A complete line of Coca-Cola products are available at all fixed and portable stands, including Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Diet Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Iced Tea, Minute Maid Lemonade, vitaminwater, Dasani Water and more. For the first time ever, the IronPigs will offer a Souvenir Soda Cup that will be available for a limited-time only and feature the 2010 All-Star Game logo presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Pints of premium draft and bottled beer are available at dozens of locations throughout the ballpark, including the Bud Light Trough. Draft beer on tap at the Bud Light Trough and throughout Coca-Cola Park includes a full line of Budweiser products along with Labatt Blue, Coors Light, Landshark Lager, Shock Top Belgian White and both Pig Pen Pilsner and Fegley's Amber from the Brew Works collection of microbrews in Allentown and Bethlehem. New draft beer offerings feature Bud Light Golden Wheat, Bud Light Lime and Victory Hop Devil.
A number of bottled beers will be offered, including a full line of Budweiser products alongside Sam Adams, Coors Light, Landshark Lager, Shock Top Belgian White, Corona, Bacardi Silver Mojito and additional seasonal selections from both Sam Adams and Anheuser-Busch. The new bottled beer selections are Bacardi Sangria and Victory Prima Pilsner.
Draft and bottled beer pricing remains identical in 2010.
The Club Level continues to feature additional food and drink selections and also allows patrons access to a gourmet food station, The Pig Stop. The Pig Stops' offerings rotate nightly and feature meals designed nightly by our Executive Chef, such as grilled panini, fresh wraps, pasta combinations, delectable desserts and more.
The entire concessions menu is now available at ironpigsbaseball.com.
Single-game tickets, mini-plan packages and group tickets for all 72 IronPigs home games are on sale now and can be purchased at the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office, online at www.ironpigsbaseball.com or by calling (610) 841-PIGS. The 2010 season is presented by Capital BlueCross.
