Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (17-15) play the finale of a four-game series against the Indianapolis Indians (19-13) at Victory Field... With a 5-0 loss yesterday, the Pigs have dropped three straight to the Indians -- starting 0-3 on this eight-game, West Division road trip. After starting 10-2, the Pigs have gone just 7-13 since April 17... The Indians -- Pittsburgh's affiliate -- have now won five games in a row -- tying their season-high (April 24-29) -- and are 12-3 in their last 15 affairs (after starting just 7-10).
RHP Tyler Cloyd (2-0, 0.69) will start for LHV against LHP Jeff Locke (3-1, 2.31).
Today's series finale features a 11:05 a.m. starting time. The Pigs next travel to Louisville to start a four-game series with the Bats beginning Friday Night.
INDIAN NOT-SO GIVERS:
The Pigs have been shutout twice now in the 3 G of this series -- and have scored in just 2 of the 27 innings (and just single runs). In addition, the Pigs haven't scored in the last 16 innings... IND pitchers have a 0.67 ERA and have held the Pigs to .184 (18-98).
