Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (69-72) play Game Three of a five-game series against the fifth-place Buffalo Bisons (55-85) -- the New York Mets' top affiliate. With a doubleheader sweep last night (4-1, 7-2), the 'Pigs have won three straight games -- snapping a three-game skid to Buffalo -- and are now 5-1 on this season-ending nine-game, eight-game homestand. Still just 13-15 in its last 28 contests, LHV remains 46-37 (.554) since 6/11...
Buffalo is now just 7-14 in their last 21 affairs. Once 26-50 on July 3, the Bisons are a more respectable 29-35 (.453) since.
RHP Drew Carpenter (11-5, 3.23) will start for LHV against RHP Tobi Stoner (6-7, 3.93).
First-Pitch is 7:05 p.m. There will be a performance by Bucket Boys, presented by Plantique; as well as a post-game Fireworks Show presented by Haldeman Ford/Lincoln/Mercury.
