Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

Allentown, Pennsylvania - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, have announced their schedule for the 2021 season!

"The past year has presented many challenges and hardships for all of us due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our top priority in 2021 is the health and safety of our fans, our staff, and the community at large," said IronPigs President and General Manager Kurt Landes. "We are working tirelessly to make sure that everyone will have a safe and fun experience when they walk through the gates of Coca-Cola Park. We are excited to start the season and look forward to seeing fans back at Coca-Cola Park."

The IronPigs will be communicating to the public in the coming days about fan access to games. This includes full-season Bacon, USA Ticket plan holders, mini-plan holders, corporate partners, and suite holders. Plans have diligently been put in place in preparation for the 2021 season. The IronPigs will be strictly following all up-to-date guidance from the State of Pennsylvania and the Allentown Health Bureau to produce and insure the safest possible experience for all involved.

Game times and a full IronPigs promotional schedule consisting of giveaways, appearances, and more will be announced at a later date.

The IronPigs will be playing a 142-game season. The 2021 schedule for the IronPigs consists of 72 home games with eight six-game homestands and two 12-game homestands. Mondays are the universal off-day in the schedule. The team will be playing 70 road games this season.

The IronPigs will be playing limited opponents this season, many that IronPigs fans are accustomed to seeing quite often at Coca-Cola Park. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, Syracuse Mets, Rochester Red Wings, Buffalo Bisons, and the Worcester Red Sox (formally Pawtucket Red Sox) will be the IronPigs opponents throughout the 2021 season. These teams, including the IronPigs, make up the Triple-A East Northeast Division.

Coca-Cola Park will open its doors on Tuesday, April 6 against Syracuse to not only open the 2021 season, but also host their first home game since Sunday, August 25, 2019 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The IronPigs will be playing two home series each against Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester. Worcester and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will visit Coca-Cola Park three times each throughout the 2021 season. The IronPigs were winners of the IronRail Trophy in 2019, winning the overall series against the RailRiders.

More information regarding the 2021 schedule will be communicated to the public in the coming days. Health and safety measures for Coca-Cola Park will also be communicated to fans in advance of the season's start.
