GREENSBORO, NC - The Carolina Cobras announce the signing of offensive/defensive lineman CJ Cain (6'4, 335) Cain helped the Cobras to a 10-4 overall record last season playing on both the offensive and defensive line. On the offensive, he blocked for star quarterback Malik Henry and helped Carolina to become the highest scoring team in the National Arena League in 2023 with 814 points scored between the regular and postseason. On defense, Cain recorded 11 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, and three blocked passes. Prior to the Cobras, Cain played for the Carolina Energy of the American Arena League.

CJ Cain spent his college career at Catawba College, a Division II college in Salisbury, NC where he started at guard on the offensive line. He played for the Indians all four seasons and helped anchor a 9-2 offense his senior year where they finished second in the South Atlantic Conference.

"What I love most about CJ Cain is that he holds everyone, coaches included, accountable. He is the prototype for a professional athlete. He respects his teammates, his coaches..he respects his craft. CJ is a coach on the field while playing at the top of his game. I want to do this for him...but moreover I want to do it with him because he's loyal to our team's success" Stated Head Coach Negron.
