Iowa Wild Opens Training Camp September 23

Des Moines, IA - Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill announced on Thursday that the Inaugural Iowa Wild training camp opens on Monday, Sept. 23.

Players will report to Des Moines as camp begins on Monday and runs through Thursday, Oct. 3. The team will hit the ice for the first time on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 10:15 a.m. The first practice open to the media will be at Wells Fargo Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and again on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 10:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The Wild will open one practice to the general public on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Fans may park in the North Lot for a fee of $7.00 and enter through the North entrance.

Friday, Sept. 27, Iowa will play a preseason game against the Chicago Wolves. The game will take place at the Franklin Park Ice Center in Franklin Park, IL. For ticket information, fans may call (847) 671-4268 . The team will return to the ice at Wells Fargo Arena and skate from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. every day from Sept. 28 - Oct. 3.

Fans will get their first look at the Iowa Wild on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena for the Green-White Scrimmage. The event is open to the public. Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item (one per person). Seating will be on a first come, first-served basis.

The team will continue to practice at Wells Fargo Arena in preparation for the first game in team history. Iowa opens at home with a 7:05 p.m. faceoff against the Oklahoma City Barons on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Iowa Wild single game tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Sept 24. at 10:00 a.m. Fans may purchase single game tickets multiple ways, either through the team's website - www.Iowawild.com, Wells Fargo Arena box office or Dahl's Ticketing. Tickets are available online at www.iowawild.comunder the single game tickets tab. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-866-55-DAHLS (32457) or by visiting one of 13 Dahl's Food Stores locations in the greater Des Moines area, and in Ames. Fans interested in buying full season, or smaller season packages may call the Iowa Wild front office at 515-564-8700.

The Iowa Wild begins its Inaugural season, presented by Mercy Medical Center, in October of 2013. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
