
Iowa Stars Sign Defenseman

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White announced this afternoon the signing of Defenseman Jared Nightingale to a two-way AHL/ECHL contract. Keeping with club policy, financial terms of the contract have not been disclosed.
A native of Cheboygan, Michigan, Nightingale made his professional debut with the Springfield (MA) Falcons in late March of last season. The 6-2, 200-pound defenseman registered his first professional goal on April 8th, 2006 against Providence. A right-handed shooter, he skated in 156 career games in four seasons at Michigan State University, accumulating 161 penalty minutes and 23 points: 156(2/21/23)161. Born on October 3rd, 1982, he was an Assistant Captain with the MSU Spartans during his senior season.
