Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today they have signed defenseman John Adams to a standard American Hockey League contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Adams spent the majority of the 2005-06 season with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL collecting one goal, 14 assists, 15 points and 71 penalty minutes in 42 games played. The 6-foot-2, 193-poud native of Wayzata, Minnesota made his AHL debut with the Falcons on December 30, 2005 against the Manchester Monarchs and played a total of five games with the Falcons last year.

"John is a player that we had the opportunity to watch mid-season last year and we feel he adds depth to our blueline," said Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon. "John gained some very valuable AHL experience last year and we look forward to witnessing his development during the 2006-07 campaign."

Prior to the 2005-06 season, Adams spent four years (2001-2005) with the Boston College Eagles (Hockey East) collecting 29 points in 136 games played. Adams was a teammate of Falcons left wing David Spina while at Boston College.

The Falcons are currently accepting deposits on full, half, and 10-game season ticket packages for the 2006-07 season, in addition to 40 and 10-Flex Packs. For more information regarding season ticket information, contact the Falcons office at 413-739-3344.
