
Iowa Energy Win over Westchester in Education Celebration Game

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Energy (14-16) won 93-85 over the Westchester Knicks Tuesday morning at Wells Fargo Arena in the Energy's Education Celebration Game presented by MidAmerican Energy. Over 7,000 fans, most of which were kids, saw the Energy win.
The Energy were led by Memphis Grizzlies assignee James Ennis with 25 points and two rebounds. Andrew Harrison added 18 points, five rebounds and five assists. Alex Stepheson posted his 25th double-double of the season with 17 points and 17 rebounds. The Knicks were led by Jimmer Fredette with 25 points, four rebounds and five assists.
The Knicks jumped out to an early six-point lead to start the game. The Knicks were able to build their lead with 20 of their 24 first quarter points coming in the paint. The Energy closed the gap to three points at the end of the first quarter as the Knicks led 24-21. The Knicks extended their lead to 15 points in the second quarter, outscoring the Energy 32-23. Ennis led the Energy in the half with 15 points as Iowa trailed 56-44 at halftime.
The Energy started the second half hot, quickly erasing the Knicks 12-point halftime lead. Iowa's defense was strong and held the Knicks to just 13 points in the quarter. Harrison's eight points helped Iowa take the lead in the final minute of third to hold a 70-69 advantage heading into the fourth. Iowa continued to shoot the ball well and opened up an 11-point lead in the fourth behind 10 points from Ennis. The Energy defense continued to hold strong, allowing just 16 points to Westchester in the fourth. The Energy would go on to win 93-85.
Iowa has a few days off for the NBA D-League All-Star Game. Alex Stepheson will be representing the Energy at the All-Star Game in Toronto. Iowa's next home game is Tuesday, February 23 at 7pm.
