Brown to Miss NBA D-League All-Star Game

The following has been released by the NBA Development League regarding the replacement of Lorenzo Brown for the upcoming 2016 NBA D-League All-Star game presented by Kumho Tire.

Brown suffered a minor left ankle sprain in practice this week and is anticipated to be out for the next two (2) games. He will be reevaluated after the all-star break.

The 10th annual NBA D-League All-Star Game airs live on NBA TV and NBA TV Canada at 2 p.m. ET.

NEW YORK, Feb. 9, 2016 - Westchester center Jordan Bachynski and Texas guard Tu Holloway will replace Grand Rapids' Lorenzo Brown and Santa Cruz's Elliot Williams, respectively, in the 2016 NBA Development League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. Bachynski will suit up for the Eastern Conference team, while Holloway will play for the Western Conference squad. The 10th annual NBA D-League All-Star Game airs live on NBA TV and NBA TV Canada at 2 p.m. ET.

Bachynski (7-2, 254, Arizona State) is averaging 12.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks (third in the NBA D-League) in 26.4 minutes over 32 games for the Knicks. The Canadian-born Bachynski replaces Brown (left ankle sprain) on the East team, which is coached by Sioux Falls' Dan Craig and his staff.

Holloway (6-0, 190, Xavier) ranks eighth in the NBA D-League in scoring (20.8 ppg) and seventh in assists (5.9 apg) to go with 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 35.7 minutes over 30 games for the Legends. He replaces Williams, who has left the NBA D-League. Holloway joins fellow Legends Brandon Ashley and Micheal Eric on the West team, which is coached by Austin's Ken McDonald and his staff.
