NEW YORK, March 12, 2016 - Iowa Energy head coach Bob Donewald, Jr. has been assessed an automatic one-game suspension for receiving his 13th technical foul of the 2015-16 NBA Development League season.
Under NBA D-League rules, a player or coach is automatically suspended without pay for one game upon receipt of his 13th technical foul during the regular season. For every two additional technical fouls received during that regular season, the player or coach will be automatically suspended for an additional game.
Donewald, Jr. received his 13th technical foul with 7:45 remaining in the fourth quarter of Iowa's 102-98 loss to the Raptors 905 on Friday, March 11. He will serve his suspension tonight when the Energy and 905 meet again.
