Iowa Barnstormers Partner with Make-A-Wish Iowa

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers will host the team's 3rd Annual Family Night in partnership with the Make-A-Wish Iowa on Saturday, April 16. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m. CDT at Wells Fargo Arena.

The Iowa Barnstormers have partnered with the Make-A-Wish Iowa for their Annual Family Night event. In December, Make-A-Wish Iowa's largest fundraising event, Jolly Holiday Lights, was closed due to flooding. The Barnstormers reached out with a fundraising initiative of their own to help close the gap of revenues that were lost. Make-A-Wish Iowa will be selling tickets to the Iowa Barnstormers April 16th game with a portion of the proceeds going back to the organization.

The Barnstormers Family Night will once again feature appearances from several local mascots. Mascots from across the greater Des Moines area will be invited to attend the game and participate in on-field activities throughout the evening. Kid's activities will also be available on the main concourse throughout the night. Further details will be announced leading up to the game.

Along with their partnering sponsors, the Barnstormers will be providing Make-A-Wish Iowa kids and their families with tickets to attend the game on April 16. The kids attending will be invited to an exclusive pre-game gathering and will also participate in the halftime YMCA dance with mascots attending the event.
