WINNIPEG, MB. - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are illuminating change by lighting Investors Group Field in purple, the colour of mental health awareness, on Monday, October 10th.

The home of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will join the list of international landmarks that support World Mental Health Day (#WMHD) and the Amanda Todd Legacy Project by "Lighting Up Purple."

"We are proud to shine a light on the extremely important issues surrounding mental health in our community," said Wade Miller, President & CEO of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. "It is our hope that this sparks and continues conversations about mental health and bullying."

This is the second year the Bombers have participated in the project, and the fourth year of the Amanda Todd Legacy project. Light Up Purple builds on the theme of inclusivity and respectful relationships that the Bombers support through their Bombers Tackle Bullying program, presented by DMS Industrial Constructors Inc. and the Samantha Mason Foundation, which reached more than 2,500 youth in the 2015-16 off-season.
