Intimidators Walk-Off With 10-9 Win Over Hagerstown in 11 Innings

Kannapolis, NC ? Intimidators? OF Lyndon Estill had been through it before. Estill struck out with the score tied at nine and the bases loaded in the ninth. Faced with the same situation in the 11th frame, Estill pounded a walk-off single off the right field wall and Kannapolis came from being down 7-0 to win 10-9 in 11 innings.

Estell finished 2-for-6 with the game winning RBI single. The frame started with Logan Johnson picking up his fourth hit of the game (4-for-6, four runs and four RBI). Jim Gallagher singled before John Curtis put down a sacrifice bunt to move the runners up. After Sergio Miranda was intentionally walked, Estill came through with the walk-off single to end the game.

The Intimidators fell behind 7-0 after three innings with starter Kevin Skogley lasting four frames and giving up seven runs on eight hits.

Logan Johnson started the scoring in the fourth for Kannapolis with a grand slam (hit 7th home run of the season). A couple innings later in the seventh frame down 9-6, Jim Gallagher tied the game at nine with a three-run jack (his 3rd) over the right field wall.

The Intimidators split their four-game set with Hagerstown two games apiece. Kannapolis is off tomorrow but travels to Lexington to open a four-game series starting Thursday night.
