Kannapolis, NC - The Intimidators' game tonight against Lake County has been postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium starting at 5:05pm.
The Intimidators and Captains split the first two games of the series. In game one, Lake County won in ten innings 8-5. Last night, Dale Mollenhauer hit for the cycle as the Intimidators rolled to a 10-4 victory.
The starting pitchers for tonight are slated to throw tomorrow in game one. RHP Levi Maxwell (8-2, 3.51 ERA) throws for the Intimidators and RHP Chris Archer (2-8, 4.05) goes for the Captains. Game two is scheduled to have RHP Miguel Socolovich (2-3, 4.83) throw for Kannapolis against LHP Ryan Morris (6-2, 3.27) for Lake County.
The doubleheader starts at 5:05pm between the Intimidators and Captains. There are fireworks to follow the games and the first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a free Jimmy Rollins bobblehead sponsored by Concord Mills. Rollins played for the Piedmont Boll Weevils in Kannapolis in 1997. He won the 2007 National League Most Valuable Player Award.
