Intimidators Open Final Homestand With 10-4 Loss To GreenJackets

Kannapolis, NC - The Intimidators (29-26) dropped their second straight game with a 10-4 loss to the Augusta GreenJackets (39-18) to open up the final homestand of the season.

Kannapolis got off to an early lead with Justin Greene scoring on a wild pickoff throw to first couple with another error trying to get Greene on his way to third base in the 3rd. The Intimidators added another run in the 4th as Jim Gallagher scored on a wild pitch after he moved to third thanks to a triple.

Things fell apart for the Intimidators in the 6th inning. The Intimidators committed an error that led to six runs in the frame (two earned) including a grand slam. At the end of the inning Kannapolis trailed 7-2.

Intimidators starter Levi Maxwell took the loss (13-5) lasting 5.1 innings giving up 10 hits with seven runs (five earned).
