
Intimidators Fall 8-1 In Lakewood

Lakewood, NJ - A day after the Intimidators (16-16) tossed a two-hit shutout over the BlueClaws (22-13) Lakewood returned the favor by beating Kannapolis 8-1 at FirstEnergy Park in front of a crowd of 7,226.
Kannapolis managed only four hits. Ronnie Gaines had two hits with Mark Fleisher picking up the other two base knocks.
The Intimidators lone run scored in the ninth on a strikeout with a wild pitch as Fleisher scored from third and Christian Marrero reach safely with two outs.
Lakewood starter Mike Stutes (1-0) tossed six shutout innings giving up two hits and striking out five.
The Intimidators continue the eight-game roadtrip tomorrow night in Lakewood against the BlueClaws. Coverage starts at intimidatorsbaseball.com with Dan Bumpus at 4:50pm for a 5:05pm first pitch.
