Inter Miami CF Hosts Thrilling Inaugural Media Match as Part of 2023 Home Opener Week Festivities

Inter Miami CF today hosted the inaugural edition of the Club's Media Match as part of the Club's Home Opener of 2023 week festivities. A thrilling matchup at DRV PNK Stadium saw Team Heartbeat, coached by Inter Miami defender DeAndre, come out on top 3-1 over Team La Noche in the afternoon, which was led by head coach and Inter Miami forward Josef Martínez.

Team Heartbeat kicked off the match at full throttle, with CBS Sports' Jenny Chiu opening the scoring early on in the first half following a lovely team play. It seemed as if the match would go into the break with Team Heartbeat up on the scoreboard, before Abelardo from 99% bagged the equalizer with a tidy right footed finish to the far post in the dying moments.

Both teams then produced another exciting action-packed second half of the match. After a back and forth second half with chances for both sides it seemed as if the Club's inaugural edition of the Media Match would end in a stalemate, but CBS Sports talents combined for the go ahead goal, with Chiu setting up the assist for Igor Mello's goal to put Team Heartbeat ahead 2-1. Then in the final seconds of the match, Rodrigo Almeida-Amuso of Radio Florida Brazil controlled a beautiful through ball from Ruthie Polinsky before beating the opposition's keeper in a one on one play for Team Heartbeat to claim an impressive 3-1 win.

After the matchup, media members were able to enjoy Inter Miami's new food menu for its home matches at DRV PNK Stadium throughout the 2023.
