Inter Miami CF Foundation Announces Participation in Give Miami Day
November 17, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - Inter Miami CF News Release
Today the Inter Miami CF Foundation announced that it will be participating in Give Miami Day for the first time. During its very first year partaking in the annual day of giving hosted by the Miami Foundation, the Inter Miami CF Foundation will be raising funds to support their Laptops for Seniors program, pledging to utilize all funds raised to purchase laptops for underserved high school seniors in South Florida.
Earlier this year, the Foundation gifted laptops to high school seniors from Little Haiti FC who had been accepted into college with full scholarships, but who would have had an additional financial burden having to purchase laptops on their own. The Foundation's goal is to continue to grow this program and make sure that seniors from low-income communities who have gone above and beyond to receive college scholarships also have the necessary tools to succeed and achieve their higher education goals.
The Inter Miami CF Foundation invites all fans to be philanthropists for the day and make a charitable contribution to the Foundation's champion page linked HERE. Any donation, big or small, will make an impact in a child's life!
Revealed by the Club in August, the Inter Miami CF Foundation is a public 501©3 non-profit that serves as the social responsibility branch of Inter Miami CF. The Foundation's focus is youth enrichment and it aims to create programs that help support underserved and at-risk kids in South Florida, specifically around topics related to education, health and wellness, and safe places to play, amongst others.
Since 2012, Give Miami Day has raised more than $61 million. The Miami Foundation hosts the annual online initiative as part of its mission to increase local philanthropy and provide community engagement opportunities for every Miamian. Established in 1967, the Foundation partners with donors to champion their causes and improve quality of life in Greater Miami. It takes leadership on civic issues, invests in the community and nurtures philanthropy at all levels. Learn more at https://www.givemiamiday.org/ and MiamiFoundation.org.
