Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo FC and the Houston Dash have partnered with For Soccer Ventures' Black Star for a free youth clinic and Soccer ID camp at Houston Sports Park on Saturday, Nov. 19 and Sunday, Nov. 20.

The free youth clinic will provide one-of-kind access to the world's most popular sport for boys and girls ages 5 - 12 with the goal of creating and strengthening a love of the game. Up to 150 youth participants will have a chance to learn and enhance their skills, agility, and technique from professional coaches and players on Nov. 19 beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT at Houston Sports Park.

"This is a fantastic program celebrating diverse soccer culture and the Dynamo and Dash look forward to supporting a community initiative that amplifies opportunities to play the sport," Houston Dynamo FC chief operating officer, Jessica O'Neill said. "We are thrilled to host this event at our performance center this weekend and provide a best-in-class experience for participants."

Black Star teamed up with Boyd Parker Sports Group to host the first-ever Historically Black College and Universities Soccer ID Camp in Houston, providing college soccer recruiting opportunities for high school players and college transfers. The event is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 19 at Houston Sports Park.

The College ID camp will feature up to 120 male and female high school players interested in playing college soccer at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Men's and Women's coaches from HBCUs around the country will be in attendance to evaluate, scout, provide feedback, and potentially recruit players into their collegiate soccer programs.
