Inland Empire 66ers News Release

Inland Empire (37-51, 6-12) fell to the Visalia Rawhide (43-45, 12-6) 6-0 as the 66ers offense was blanked, only able to muster five hits off of Rawhide starter Bradin Hagens.

66ers starter Fabio Martinez struggled with his command as he would not be able to get out of the 1st inning going only 2/3 innings and giving up two earned runs on 38 pitches. 66ers reliever Alex Burkard came in in relief of Martinez and anchored Inland Empire's pitching going 4 1/3 scoreless innings and striking out five. Hagens pitched 6 scoreless innings and struck out seven to stymie the 66ers offense and earn the win. He improves to 2-2. Martinez was charged with the loss to fall to 0-3.

The 66ers look to earn their first win against the Visalia Rawhide tomorrow at 7:05 pm. It will be Man's Best Friend as fans can enjoy the game with their dogs. The game can be heard on the home of 66ers baseball KCAA 1050 AM beginning with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Pre-Game show at 6:55. Coming up in the next weekend will be two giveaways as there will be a Welcome Mat Giveaway on Saturday and a Jered Weaver Water Bottle Giveaway on Sunday for the first 1,000 fans.
