Colorado Rapids News Release

Colorado Rapids striker Deshorn Brown is rated as questionable for this Friday's home game against Chivas USA after limping out of last week's 2-1 loss at the Portland Timbers with a right groin strain.

Brown, who is the club's leading scorer this season with seven goals, will step up his recovery in the coming days and only then will it be known if he is ready to return for the Rapids' next match (TICKETS).

At Portland, the Jamaican opened the scoring for the Rapids in the 16th minute, only to then be forced from the field just moments later.

Marlon Hairston also exited the Portland contest prematurely, but he is said to be available for selection. Fellow-midfielder Jose Mari, meanwhile, is still about a week away from training fully and will not feature in the all-Western Conference encounter with Chivas USA. He sustained a sprained left ankle during training on June 27.
