Inferno Sign Fourth Player

COLUMBIA, SC (August 18, 2005) - The Columbia Inferno announce the signing of rookie forward Mike Meech for the 2005-06 season. Meech joins teammates Steve Burgess, Dallas Flaman and Mike Lukajic as the fourth player signed by the Inferno this season.

The 6'0", 195 lbs. Coquitlam, British Columbia native registered 13 goals, 12 assists and 42 penalty minutes in 31 games during his senior season at Brown University, part of the NCAA Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. He was the assistant captain during the latter part of his senior year at Brown.

"Mike is a versatile player who can play all three forward positions and has the ability to put up some offensive numbers," said Coach Ted Dent.

The Columbia Inferno opens their fifth season in the ECHL Friday, October 21st against the Greenville Grrrowl at 7:05pm. Season and partial ticket packages are still available.
